Despite all the talk about low carb diets, pasta remains incredibly popular. It’s a versatile staple for many home chefs who can’t imagine life with spaghetti, lasagna and, of course, macaroni & cheese.
Perfect Pasta Salad: Pasta salad can be difficult to prepare if your pasta is drenched with excessive water. Dressing and seasoning simply won’t stick to a wet noodle. Even if you use a colander, water can still remain trapped inside pasta tubes or grooves.
Try this tip: After the pasta is boiled and shaken in a colander, spread it in a shallow baking pan lined with paper towels. After you let the pasta sit for a few minutes, roll the paper towels while dabbing the pasta. This will remove any trapped water and enable the salad ingredients to stick.
